Northwest Knitter

Hi! I am am a 4th year medical student, sailor, and knitter in Seattle, WA. If all goes as planned, knitting and playing with boats will keep me sane while in school! Recently, I have gotten woo'ed by "going green" and am doing my best to improve and consume/waste less...

tardiness...

Well, I can't say that I have much to report in the fiber-arts realm of things... I have had such a hectic life the last few months that I have barely accomplished anything! I finished a baby sock, spun a skein of yarn, and spent the rest of the time working in the lab, worrying about my friend's upcoming wedding, and dealing with some personal things.

Speaking of the wedding, whoever invented "shapewear" was clearly employed by the spanish inquisition, and frankly it seems to be well suited to making someone renounce all that is good and holy in the world! Obviously kidding, but anyone who knows how low-maintenence in the fashion department I am would explode with laughter thinking of me post-Clinique makeover in a dressingroom with two kinds of shapewear on AT ONCE (I'm not trained to use this kind of equiptment), attempting to step into the bridesmaid dress without catching it on the sandals I forgot to remove while I could still bend over...

Whew.

Fortunately, my friend Erin has come to the rescue and I am told to expect some knitting emergency supplies in the mail soon... Thanks, man!!! *hug*

I WILL post some pictures within the next few days.
